MIRF 2019 : FRANCHISE FORWARD
Organised by Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA), Malaysia International Retail and Franchise Exhibition (MIRF) aim to become the biggest showcase of retail exhibitors that Malaysia has ever seen. It will bring a display of the best and most established retail brands.
MIRF 2019 themed “Franchise Forward”, signify MIRF as a growth platform for retail and franchise businesses to not only expand in terms of revenue but to also shape and cultivate new business model and innovation strategy. With over 10 countries participating in MIRF 2019, there will be many international brands exhibiting, with quality business matching throughout the exhibition. MIRF 2018 transacted over RM65million business revenue with over 12,000 visitors.

In Malaysia, franchising has been consistently promoted and supported by the government. This enable a good springboard to market in Asia. There are over 500 franchise brands in Malaysia, out of which 70% are local. Sectors that top the list are food and beverage, retailing, education, beauty and health, among other businesses.
Malaysia government has lay an ambitious targets for the franchise industry to contribute 9.4% to gross domestic product by 2020 and as the franchise hub in ASEAN. This present international franchisors with opportunities to seek franchisees in this region.
